Analyse This Using International Standards

A total of 25 graduates of HSE’s Master’s Programme in Business Informatics have also received an academic diploma from the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA).

Founded in 2004, the IIBA is now the leading association for business analysts, bringing together around 30,000 specialists and over 220 corporate members around the world. The Institute focuses largely on standardising and certifying education in this field, and an IIBA diploma is a sure sign for employers that an individual is capable of defining business problems and proposing solutions at a level that meets international standards.

‘HSE has been working with the Institute for five years already,’ notes Tatyana Kravchenko, a Professor in HSE’s Department of Business Analytics. ‘In line with IIBA recommendations, we are working with students of the Business Informatics Master’s Programme on academic research on various problems in business analysis, and the programme we’ve developed called “A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge” has been certified by the IIBA,’ she comments.

‘The International Institute of Business Analysis is a very reputable organisation, and receiving an IIBA diploma just like that as you go along without studying abroad is, in my opinion, a huge plus to the Business Informatics Master’s Programme,’ according to Abdurashid Radzhabov, who graduated from the programme this year. ‘For a lot of large foreign and domestic companies, the “body of business analysis knowledge” created at the IIAB is a corporate standard, so the diplomas we were given provide you with an added assurance that you’ll be able to achieve your career goals,’ he adds. Another graduate, Sara Chavushyan, comments: ‘Analysing the cases and recommendations of the IIBA under the guidance of instructors from the Department of Business Analytics allowed us to learn the best practices as well as ways to apply them in certain business situations.’
